Interact Commerce Corporation, the makers of SalesLogix™,
the leader in small business and mid-market CRM, and ACT!™,
the best-selling contact manager, today announced that
SalesLogix Configuration Engine v.4.0 is now available
for Microsoft Commerce Server 2002. SalesLogix Configuration
Engine offers out-of-the-box integration with Commerce
Server and can be administered directly from the Commerce
Server Business Desk. This solution integrates directly
to the Commerce Server catalog to apply configuration
and/or business rules, along with a "guided selling"
user interface.
"The SalesLogix Configuration Engine provides a
valuable addition to the Microsoft Commerce Server 2002
platform," said LJ Germinario, technical product
manager at Microsoft Corp. "Microsoft is excited
about this relationship with SalesLogix to enhance the
Microsoft .NET Platform by offering customers a simple
solution to a complex problem. The combination of the
SalesLogix Configuration Engine and Commerce Server 2002
will provide a scalable interactive selling solution to
meet the unique needs of our mutual customers."
The SalesLogix Configuration Engine integrated with Microsoft
Commerce Server enables companies to apply complex configuration
and business rules to any business-to business (B2B) or
business-to-consumer (B2C) website. Version 4.0 of the
Configuration Engine enables organizations to create a
"Virtual Concierge," or product expert on the
user's storefront to further simplify the selection and
error-free purchase of complex products or services, as
well as presenting the customer with custom cross-sell
and up-sell options.
Tyco Flow Control, a division
of Tyco International, needed an integrated eCommerce
solution with a configurator to help increase sales,
increase customer satisfaction, and reduce costs. They
selected Microsoft Commerce Server 2000 with the SalesLogix
Configuration Engine and deployed the solution within
four months. Now, seeing the benefit and ROI from the
solution, they are deploying Commerce Server 2002 and
Configuration Engine 4.0 in two additional Tyco business
units.
"After reviewing several configuration vendors and
commerce platforms, Microsoft Commerce Server and SalesLogix
Configuration Engine was the only offering that enabled
us to meet our goals of increasing sales, reducing internal
costs by automating processes, and enhancing customer
satisfaction by delivering customers 24/7 self-service,"
said Jeff Lynch of Tyco. "Not only did it meet our
requirements at a cost we could afford, but the ease of
use enabled us to begin realizing a return in only just
a few short months."
